Our concreting services
Below is a quick overview of the concrete services that we provide to Perth homeowners, builders, developers and commercial clients.
Exposed aggregate is our most sought after decorative concrete finish around Perth. Exposed aggregate has many different designs for you to choose from, its a versatile option that suits any architectural styles. You select the mix you want and we will lay it. All exposed aggregate jobs include an acid wash and seal.
Polished concrete is a luxury product that is high gloss, reflective and sleek, best suited for indoor luxury spaces. Just like exposed aggregate, there is a wide choice of designs to suit your style requirements. The process is much the same as exposed aggregate however instead of exposing, we machine polish the surface.
Honed concrete is a high end matte, low sheen, durable finish ideal for outdoor, slip resistant areas. Due to its natural slip resistance, honed finishes are ideal around wet areas such as pool surrounds, outdoor living areas, footpaths, and architectural surface surrounds.
Structural engineered concrete is the typical concrete mix for structural elements such as footings, concrete slabs, concrete beams, concrete suspended slabs, concrete columns, concrete garages, and concrete retaining walls. Our team will interpret your design specifications and ensure that your structural concrete is constructed to specification.
Liquid limestone is a niche decorative concrete product that is suited for footpaths, driveways, pool surrounds, outdoor living areas etc. It is a durable, slip resistance, and low maintenance option that serves as a great alternative to paving.
Our concrete applications
Our concreting services are typically applied to the following areas, although there are so much more!
Concrete driveways and crossovers for new builds or renovations, we do the lot. We offer the full scope of concreting for your driveways and crossovers, including preparation and formwork, through to pouring and finishing. Concrete driveways can come in normal grey concrete with no skid - slip resistance broom finishes, coloured concrete, exposed aggregate, liquid limestone or honed concrete.
Pool surrounds and areas are typically placed using architecturally designed mixes with an applied decorative finish such as exposed aggregate, honed finish, liquid limestone or coloured concrete. We will encase your pool with the decorative concrete finish of your choice achieving a cantilevered overhang.
Structural concrete refers to engineered and structurally designed concrete such as slab foundations, footings, pads, suspended slabs, beams, or columns. Whether you are a builder, homeowner or owner builder and or developer, we have you covered. Our team are competent operators who can read drawings, interpret design, and construct as per your project specification.
Garages and shed pads are level concrete slabs that support vehicles, machinery, sheds, and equipment. They are built to be durable, flat and can be smooth, textured, or broom finished depending on your needs.
Footpaths to support the movement of pedestrians either in and around your home, site, or across your verge. Footpaths can be constructed in decorative material or in normal grey concrete with decorative textured finishes.
Outdoor Living and House Surrounds are areas such as patios, alfrescos, courtyards, or terraces etc where any concrete type can apply. Whether you want an architectural finish such as exposed, honed, or polished, or a functional grey concrete, we can deliver.

Areas we service
We pour concrete right across the Perth metro area, and after years on the tools we've come to know each pocket of the city pretty well. South of the river, we do a lot of work through the Applecross–Mt Pleasant–Booragoon stretch and across the leafy southern suburbs of Como, South Perth, Rossmoyne, Shelley, Riverton, Bentley, Attadale, Bicton and Melville. Further south we cover the Canning Vale, Willetton, Winthrop and Murdoch areas, and out toward Cockburn Central, Success, Coogee and Hamilton Hill. We have a homegrown presence in Fremantle and the wider Freo area, including East Fremantle.
The western beaches are some of our favourite jobs — Cottesloe, Swanbourne, City Beach, Floreat, and the inner-west triangle of Claremont, Dalkeith, Nedlands and Subiaco. Closer to the city we work through North Perth, Leederville, Mount Lawley and across the northern inner suburbs of Yokine, Dianella, Morley, Noranda, Nollamara and Beechboro.
Heading north, we cover the Karrinyup–Stirling–Innaloo–Osborne Park belt, Hamersley, Duncraig and Scarborough, up through Joondalup and Wanneroo, and out to the coastal growth corridors of Mindarie, Quinns Rocks, Alkimos, Eglinton, Yanchep and Two Rocks. Inland, we're regulars in the Swan Valley fringe — Ellenbrook, Aveley, The Vines, Brabham, Henley Brook and Sinagra.
Down the Kwinana Freeway run, we cover the Baldivis–Bertram–Wellard growth corridor — one of Perth's busiest building areas for the last decade, and somewhere we pour plenty of new house slabs and driveways for first-home builds. Further south we work through Lakelands, Secret Harbour and Casuarina, where the coastal estates keep expanding year on year.
East of the freeway, the south-east growth belt has exploded over the past ten years and we've grown right alongside it. We're regulars in Harrisdale, Piara Waters, Treeby, Banjup and Southern River, work the more established stretches of Armadale, and head out to Byford where new estates keep pushing further toward the Darling Range foothills.
If you're somewhere in the wider Perth metro and not sure if we cover your suburb, just ask us the question — the answer is almost always yes.

Concrete driveway pricing in Perth typically ranges from $85 to $200+ per square metre, depending on the finish, the size of the job, site access, and any prep work required.* As a rough guide: standard grey concrete and coloured concrete sit at the more affordable end of the range, liquid limestone is moderately more expensive, exposed aggregate varies depending on the mix design and stone selection, and honed and polished finishes sit at the premium end as luxury architectural finishes. Every job is different, so the best way to get an accurate figure is to contact us for a free quote, and we will endeavour to respond within 24-48 hours — we'll talk through your project and the finish that suits it.
*Pricing is indicative and subject to change based on material costs, project specifications, and site conditions.

Yes — every quote we provide is free. Send through as much detail as you have (rough dimensions, photos of the area, the finish you're considering) and we'll come back to you within 24 to 48 hours. If your project needs an on-site measure, we'll arrange a time that works for you and meet you at the property to take it from there.

We're fully insured, as required by law. Concreting in Western Australia doesn't require a specific trade licence the way some Eastern States jurisdictions do, but that doesn't mean every concreter is created equal. At Colacrete, we bring years of hands-on experience, industry qualifications, and Housing Industry Association (HIA) membership to every job — so you can be confident the work is being done properly, by people who know what they're doing.

All three are decorative architectural finishes — the difference comes down to how the surface is treated after the pour.
Exposed aggregate is created by removing the top thin layer of cement paste while the concrete is still curing, revealing the natural stones (the aggregate) within the mix. The result is a textured, grippy finish that suits driveways, paths and outdoor areas.
Honed concrete is mechanically ground back to expose the inner matrix of cement and aggregate, then refined to a smooth matte surface. It's a softer, more refined look than exposed aggregate and is popular for pool surrounds and entertaining areas.
Polished concrete takes that same grinding process several steps further, working through progressively finer abrasives to produce a smooth, glossy, light-reflective surface. It's the most premium of the three and works beautifully for alfresco areas, garages and feature floors.
All three make a strong design statement — the right choice depends on the look you're after, where the concrete is going, and how much foot traffic it'll see.
-
Concrete reaches full design strength at around 28 days, though it'll typically achieve about 70% of that strength within the first 7 days when placed and cured correctly. When you can start using the surface depends on the application: foot traffic is generally fine after 24–48 hours, light vehicle traffic after about 7 days, and full loading is best left until the 28-day mark. We'll always walk you through the curing timeline for your specific job before we leave the site.
